(Miami, Florida)—Hundreds of Christian doctors from around the world are gathering in Miami, Florida, from July 13-14 to examine the topic of supernatural healing from "the Great Physician."

They are part of the World Christian Doctors Network (WCDN) who are meeting for their 4th International Medical Conference with the theme of "Spirituality and Medicine." Attendees will hear a series of talks from doctors on such topics as "Judeo-Christian Ethics in Medicine," "Christian Physician and the Practice of Medicine," and "Adult Stem Cell—Its Clinical Applications."

There will also be a series of case studies of "incurable" illnesses given by various doctors on what they believe to be miracle healings resulting from the prayer of faith.

Dr. Joonha Hwang, President of WCDN, and a South Korea physician, explained how the organization came into being.

"Two thirds of medical schools in the United States, including Harvard and Johns Hopkins, offer courses on spiritually and faith in their curriculums, largely because patients are demanding more spiritual care," he said.

"According to a Newsweek poll, 84 percent of Americans said that praying for others can have a positive effect on their recovery.

"Along this line of thought, a group of Christian medical doctors have started a movement called WCDN which intends to tackle the issues on spirituality, with its main intention—to influence and equip Christian doctors by sharing the goodness of Christ in the form of proclaiming the Gospel principally through the healing ministry."
