Ohio Puts Planned Parenthood on Notice with Letter Announcing They are "Defunded of All Taxpayer Money"Of course, Planned Parenthood executives "have reacted with fury."
A non-therapeutic abortion is defined as a termination that is not medically necessary—i.e., what many would term, "abortion for convenience." The letters stated that the funding would cease as of April 20. According to Cleveland.com, last year ODH granted some $600,000 to Planned Parenthood clinics for services including the STD (sexually transmitted disease) Control program and the Minority HIV/AIDS initiative. Planned Parenthood executives reacted with fury. "Ohio continues to put politics over people, putting them at greater risk.
