According to a Fox News report, under the new law, students can organize prayer groups and/or religious clubs, and express their beliefs in their homework, artwork and other written assignments.

The report also notes that students can't disrupt the learning process during the exercise of their free speech, nor harass other students to participate.

Alisha Rogers, the mother of a 7-year-old North Carolina student, was pleased with the new law.

Explaining that her son had gotten in trouble recently for talking about God in school, and was very upset about it, she said, "I had to comfort him and let him know it was okay and that he could talk about Him wherever he would love."
