The NFL Committee on Stadium Security is said to have voted unanimously to institute the new policy which bans purses (not clutches), backpacks, and coolers from stadiums. Instead, only clear gallon bags are allowed.

Much like airport security restrictions, there are a host of specifics fans will have to sort out before heading out to a game.

Officials say that fans carrying bags not meeting the new criteria will be turned away "well before they reach the gates."
