"I want to come out here and I want to love people and say, 'Hey, there is hope in this. There are people who are with you during this time.'"

As Super Storm Sandy victims were dismayed to hear this week of delays by Congress for funding the relief effort, hundreds of students have already been hard at work helping homeowners in the restoration process.

On the December 21st edition of FOX & Friends on FOX News, several of those students were interviewed regarding the extraordinary assistance they've been providing for those devastated by Sandy.

According to the BP News report, Reece Hammond, Jennifer McCoy and Ethan Elgin had come along with 8 other students from Northwest Missouri State University to take part in the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief efforts.

"Many times people would call us angels," McCoy told FOX's Steve Doocy. "We would say, 'No, we're not angels.' But they were just overwhelmed that college students would come and give their time and just come and help them."

Doocy asked Reece Hammond why they would choose to do such work during their Christmas break.

"I just want to serve and glorify God," answered Hammond. "He's my life. He's my everything, and I want other people to know Him the way I know Him. I want to come out here and I want to love people and say, 'Hey, there is hope in this. There are people who are with you during this time.'"
