"The LGBTQ movement can arbitrarily determine that six colors, which they call a 'rainbow,' are a symbol of their unbiblical movement. In doing this, they think they've hijacked the rainbow for their immoral cause. But they can never change the fact that the true meaning of the rainbow was given to us 4,300 years ago by the One who created the universe and thus owns everything—including the rainbow." -Ken Ham, the founder of Answers in Genesis

"We're not letting them hijack the Bible to 'take back' the rainbow," Wiener wrote on X. "The rainbow is about pride. It's about our beautiful LGBTQ community. And it's about San Francisco beauty & joy."

Wiener, who is running to replace Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) in Congress, presumably is still enraged over a decision by several members of the San Francisco Giants to write Bible verses on their gay pride hats.

The players referenced Genesis 9:11-15, a passage of scripture that documents the great flood and God's promise He made in the days of Noah.

"I establish My covenant with you, that never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth." And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations: I have set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. When I bring clouds over the earth and the bow is seen in the clouds, I will remember My covenant that is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh."

Ken Ham, the founder of Answers in Genesis, pointed out that the rainbow belongs to God, not the LGBT movement.

"The LGBTQ movement can arbitrarily determine that six colors, which they call a 'rainbow,' are a symbol of their unbiblical movement," Ham wrote. "In doing this, they think they've hijacked the rainbow for their immoral cause. But they can never change the fact that the true meaning of the rainbow was given to us 4,300 years ago by the One who created the universe and thus owns everything—including the rainbow."

The ballplayers made national headlines after Major League Baseball threatened to punish them for violating a rule about decorating their uniforms with messages. However, the MLB walked back those threats under great pressure from Republican lawmakers and Christian baseball fans.

"I write with grave concern over your reported decision to issue a formal warning to three Major League Baseball (MLB) players for publicly expressing their Christian faith," Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) wrote in a letter to the baseball commissioner. "This follows a high-profile undercover investigation that revealed at least one MLB team discriminated against a player based on his Catholic faith. You must answer for what appears to be a pattern of discrimination within MLB against baseball players who profess their Christian faith."

Wiener doubled down and accused the Christian players of being homophobic.

"Josh Hawley can't process that MLB uniformly enforces its rules & that it doesn't have a homophobia exemption to its uniform defacement ban. So he makes things up," Wiener wrote on X.

It seems that Wiener believes Christian baseball players must either pledge their allegiance and devotion to the LGBT agenda or find another line of work. Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here
