The district has pulled the plug on the school's Character Coach.
Todd Cover, of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, had been leading devotionals and prayers with the high school football team.
A group of out-of-town atheists got upset that Todd prayed in the name of Jesus.
The Freedom From Religion Foundation said the character coach violated federal law. They said adults are not allowed to participate in any student religious clubs.
The school district panicked and launched an investigation and then gave the character coach the heave-ho.
It's a sad day in America when Christians have to leave their faith at the schoolhouse door.
To be clear, no one was coerced into joining the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
