Cultural Transformation Is Happening in America among the Youth

"Then I heard the Lord asking, 'Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?' I said, 'Here I am, Lord, send me." (Isaiah 6:8; NLT)

[Generals.org] Last month, we wrote about the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Charlie's life had meaning, and he is now the motivation for a fresh move of God's Spirit across college campuses nationwide. A generation is turning to God. (Image: Unsplash-Jon Tyson)

Charlie is known for encouraging young men and women with this statement: "Get married. Have children. Build a legacy. Pass down your values. Pursue the eternal. Seek true joy."1 As they give their lives to Christ, these young people want to know how to do what Charlie encouraged them to do in a culture that has told them quite the opposite. Jack Hibbs, Pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, told Fox News, "People are coming to us, and they are saying, 'I want to know the meaning of life, the purpose. Why am I here?'"2

A quick search on social media will show you that many young people are publicly professing that they have come to Christ or returned to church. They are coming to Jesus on secular campuses! They are being baptized on secular campuses! They are finding churches to attend, joining Bible studies, and desiring to learn how to have the kind of life Charlie mentioned—one that knows Jesus Christ, lives for Him, and changes the world around them.3

This is a giant answer to decades of prayer. There are far too many organizations to mention, but churches and ministries across America, including this one, have been praying for this very type of move of God for decades. This is far beyond just seeing souls saved. That's the beginning. Then, this type of move of God causes people to live like Believers, to be committed to their families, to speak up, to be active in their communities, and to choose to be the change needed in their cities and this nation. This is how a societal transformation begins.

This is the fulfillment of Paul's admonition to Timothy to"let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity, show yourself to be an example of those who believe." (1 Timothy 4:12; NASB)

Pray with us:

Lord, we thank You for drawing the lost into the Kingdom as You answer our prayers! Our sons and daughters, children, and grandchildren are giving their lives to Christ at such an impactful age. We are so grateful! We feel like we are watching hope for the future becoming our reality. Grant them the grace to love Your Word. Let it transform them quickly into the image of Christ Jesus, Your Son. May their transformed lives speak volumes to those in their generations who don't yet know You. May it cause a holy curiosity to fall on all those in their realms of influence. May they study it, so they can answer life's questions that others may have. May they desire to make a difference in their schools and communities. They know what the enemy's tactics have looked like to steal their identities and their hope. You are the Savior and the Restorer. Let that message be the one they carry, and may they love their peers into the Kingdom. We come alongside them in prayer and support, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
