[LifeSiteNews.com] The House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed Ghislaine Maxwell, accomplice to sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, to appear before the panel to provide sworn testimony as the Department of Justice backtracks on Epstein's client list. (Screengrab image: via OK! video)
"Ms. Maxwell is widely known for her role in facilitating Jeffery Epstein's sex trafficking operation. Her sworn deposition will help shed light on the extent of Epstein's criminal network, efforts to conceal his crimes, and the cover up that followed," stated a press release announcing the subpoena.
On Tuesday, US Representative Tim Burchett successfully moved to direct the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform to issue the subpoena. Rep. James Comer, R-KY, the chairman of the committee, announced Wednesday that Maxwell's deposition will take place in the Federal Correctional Institution in Tallahassee, Florida, where she is imprisoned, on August 11.

Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison in June 2022 by US District Judge Alison Nathan, after being found guilty, among other charges, of transporting a minor to participate in illegal sex acts, sex trafficking conspiracy, and sex trafficking of a minor, in her assistance of Epstein's sex trafficking activities...
