New Report: Trans Surgery and Hormones Linked to Mental Health Risks Including Suicide

[ThePopulistTimes.com] Trans activists and woke medical professionals have long warned that denying young people gender-affirming care, such as mastectomy and castration, increases their likelihood of self-harming and suicide. However, a new study published in the Oxford Academic Journal of Sexual Medicine finds that these permanent medical procedures are themselves closely linked to increased suicide rates and mental health therapy is still the ultimate solution. ... "Mental health outcomes included depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, substance use disorder, and body dysmorphic disorder, assessed over two years post-surgery using clinician-verified ICD-10 codes." Additionally, "those undergoing surgery were at significantly higher risk for depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and substance use disorders than those without surgery."...
