John Fetterman (D-PA) voted on Jan. 21 with Republicans to advance the nomination of Pete Hegseth, President Donald Trump's choice for defense secretary, but said that he will not switch to the Republican Party. Fetterman was the only member of the Democratic Party to join Republicans in passing a motion to proceed with Hegseth's nomination.
