[FaithWire.com] A family in Transylvania County, North Carolina, is crediting a miracle and a dog for saving an 11-year-old child trapped under rubble for some three hours.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Jamie Parker was pinned under a pile of destruction and debris as a result of a mudslide precipitated by the horrific storm in late September, WYFF-TV reported.
Donna Johns, Jamie's grandmother, recalled sitting at the family's dining room table when she heard what she described as "a rumble" before turning around and seeing the house's walls and the refrigerator barreling toward her.

"A railing was hitting my side right here and, I was stuck like this," the young boy said, noting his arms were pinned above his head. "I was stuck like this the whole time.
