"It's simple, easy to understand and popular. We have the support of a majority of American voters on each and every plank. I'd argue a MEGA-majority! I dare Democrats, or the liberal-biased media to find one issue the majority of American voters disagree on..." -Wayne Allyn Root, Assistant Editor for The Gateway Pundit
[MRCTV.org] On Monday, the Republican National Committee (RNC) Platform Committee announced that it has adopted a 2024 platform containing twenty "promises" to America, including a vow to "prevent World War Three." (Image: Pixabay)
Number Eight on the list is a bold promise to prevent World War Three, restore peace in other regions of the world, and build "a great iron dome" to protect the US:
"PREVENT WORLD WAR THREE, RESTORE PEACE IN EUROPE AND IN THE MIDDLE EAST, AND BUILD A GREAT IRON DOME MISSILE DEFENSE SHIELD OVER OUR ENTIRE COUNTRY—ALL MADE IN AMERICA."
Indeed, in his first term in the White House, presumptive Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump demonstrated that [he] can broker peace deals, having spearheaded multiple peace accords among countries in the Middle East.
The other items on the list reflect long-time Trump agenda items, such as ending the immigration crisis, boosting the American economy, restoring public safety restoring US energy independence and putting a stop to the weaponization of government.
Conspicuously absent from the list is any reference to abortion or the right to life. [*]
All 20 promises, predicated on Republicans gaining control of all three branches of government, are presented below:
[*] BCN Editor's Note: While the new RNC platform doesn't mention abortion, since Roe was defeated, the issue became that of the states, not federal. However, in his first term, President Trump took pro-life executive actions such as reinstating the Mexico City policy of not promoting abortions abroad, and supported the Hyde Amendment that stops federal money from funding abortions in the US. While he does support exceptions for rape and the life of the mother, there is every indication that Trump would continue his previous pro-life stance in his second term as President. -Aimee Herd, Breaking Christian News.
