Lake has the endorsement of President Donald Trump and is running against Katie Hobbs, the current Democratic Secretary of State.

The endorsement comes a week after Gabbard, who once chaired socialist Bernie Sanders' presidential campaign in 2016, announced she was officially leaving the Democratic Party.
