A winter weather pattern this past weekend brought seldom-seen snowfall to Hawaii's Mauna Kea summit on Sunday, according to a report by Hawaii News Now. (Screengrab image)

The weather advisory remained in effect through 6pm Sunday for both 'summit areas of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa' on Hawaii's Big Island.
