(Ukraine) — [CNSNews.com] Thousands of unarmed Ukrainian citizens across the country are blocking the roads to stop the advance of Russian forces into their towns as Russian soldiers fire their rifles into the air to scare them off, according to reports, videos and photos depicting the scenes. "Earlier, as Russian forces approached Enerhodar, thousands of local unarmed civilians came out as a massive crowd to try to block their approach multiple times," The Kyiv Independent tweeted Friday, sharing a photo of a legion of Ukrainians blocking a road.

"Unarmed Ukrainian citizens have been filmed confronting Russian soldiers across the country amid the invasion," Euro News reports in an article titled "'Shoot, we are unarmed': Verified videos show Ukrainians confronting Russian soldiers...

"Verified social media videos show a number of citizens protesting in the faces of armed troops, and blocking roads through cities," Euro News reports.

"In Melitopol, unarmed Ukrainians are confronting the Russian soldiers. They are chanting ‘Occupants' and pushing the vehicles back," Franak Viačorka, an advisor to Belarusian human rights activist and politician Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, tweeted, embedding a viral video, which has been viewed more than 5.7 million times since its posting on Tuesday.
