Even today in Russia we see the persecution of Believers. Some religious organizations have been declared terrorists (as it was in Soviet times). However, there is full religious freedom in Ukraine—Christians can preach the Gospel and gather together.

IFA reached out to Intercessors for Ukraine for prayer points on the conflict in Ukraine, which we share here. This is also a great brief explanation of the background and reasons for the conflict. We are grateful that these fellow Believers in Ukraine would share wisdom and discernment with us. Will you commit to pray? Please share these insider insights with others who want accurate information with spiritual understanding.

The brutal plans of Russian invasion are not God's will and the Lord can avert tragedy by the prayer of the saints.

The world media daily report disturbing news from Ukraine—some reports are true, other are exaggerated. If you look at the historical context, Russia's behaviour becomes clear.

For many centuries, Russia tried to conquer Ukrainian lands. Sometimes it succeeded. When Ukraine gained independence 30 years ago, the Russian leadership did not like it. Putin constantly tried to return Ukraine to Russian control, to revive the Soviet Union. We are dealing with the evil imperial spirit here.

Even today in Russia we see the persecution of Believers. Some religious organizations have been declared terrorists (as it was in Soviet times). However, there is full religious freedom in Ukraine—Christians can preach the Gospel and gather together.

Believers of Ukraine are standing in the gap for their land praying. Christians believe that Goliath, who rose from Russia, will be overthrown by the Ukrainian David, who trusts in God.

We ask all Believers in US churches to pray with us and for us. Today's life in Ukraine is normal: children go to school, shops are open, there is no panic, chaos, but fear envelops the hearts of Ukrainians when they hear the news of possible attacks by Russia.

We would like to thank IFA for their support in raising an army of prayer intercessors in Ukraine for a time like this.

The answer to these external challenges must be the awakening of the Church of Ukraine and raising of the army of prayer warriors. We believe that war is not God's will, and the Lord can avert this tragedy. Today the U.S. and Russian media emphasize the inevitability of the invasion. But we know if the Church wins this battle in the heavenlies, there will be no military conflict. If the Church raises her voice in unity and builds a wall of defence around Ukraine (see Nehemiah), there will be no war. We need the unity of the Body of Christ and the awakening to prayer and evangelism. (Image: Pixabay)

Let's be praying and declaring together:

– God, we repent for all the sins of our people; forgive us, heal our land, and stand for us;

– Pray for those in authority—no fear, no love of mammon, but the wisdom of God;

– Pray for the military, doctors, teachers, all Ukrainians;

– Pray for the Church in Ukraine to be awakened and become a blessing for the seven nations around it.

– No military invasion.
