"Abortion clinics and those clinics that refer for abortion should never receive taxpayer funding. Polling indicates most Americans agree with this. If abortion advocates want government out of their bedroom, then they should stop taking government money." -Abby Johnson, founder of And Then There Were None

Under the Trump administration, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) barred Title X affiliates from referring women for abortions, and required family planning organizations like Planned Parenthood to keep their abortion services separate from their family planning services, both fiscally and physically.

Additionally, Title X recipients were required to follow state and local laws on sexual abuse reporting, something that Planned Parenthood has repeatedly refused to do. The abortion corporation has been caught covering up child rape and sex trafficking, neglecting to notify authorities when children who are victims of rape or trafficking come to their facilities for abortions.

The Biden-Harris administration announced Monday that these rules would be revoked, and the changes would officially take effect on November 8, 2021.

"This rule is a step forward for family planning care as it aims to strengthen and restore our nation's Title X program," HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra said. "Our nation's family planning clinics play a critical role in delivering health care, and today more than ever, we are making clear that access to quality family planning care includes accurate information and referrals—based on a patient's needs and direction."

Though the pro-abortion administration presents it as an issue of health care, it is not. The Trump administration's rules still funded health care organizations providing family planning services; the rules simply didn't fund abortion, which kills human beings instead of providing health care. Planned Parenthood chose to turn down $60 million in Title X funding rather than separate its abortion business from the health care services it offers.

Unsurprisingly, Planned Parenthood is celebrating the Biden-Harris administration's decision, with president and CEO Alexis McGill Johnson calling it "a huge victory for patients and a huge victory for sexual and reproductive health care."

This decision from the Biden administration will directly free other dollars—often used by the abortion industry for salaries, facility rent, and general overhead—to fund elements of their abortion business. Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here
