While driving her usual route, she noticed two young children walking alone. She immediately pulled over, opened the door, and asked the kids some questions. Jeannie even got off the bus to talk to the children.

"I stopped and said, you know, 'These children are by themselves.' So I decided to pull over and ask the kids where they were going and who were they with," Mitchell said.

Jeannie learned that the two kids are siblings ages one and five. They walked away from their babysitter and were trying to locate their house but eventually got lost.

Upon noticing that they didn't know where were they going and where their home was, the Milwaukee bus driver took the kids inside the bus and called the police. The police called the children's mother and helped them get home safely.

"If the parent hadn't shown up, I would still be thinking 'What happened to those children?' But once the police showed up and did their part, I felt a lot better," she added.

Jeannie is being hailed as a hero, but to her, it was just her way to help another mom avoid the tragedy she faced decades ago. Apparently, 25 years ago, Jennie's then 5-years-old son went missing for 12 hours until a stranger helped him return home. Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here
