'Incomprehensible': Mexican Drug Cartel Brutally Kills Nine Members of Mormon Family in Ambush, Including Children

A suspected group of drug cartel gunmen opened fire on the Mormon LeBaron family as they traveled to a wedding in a three-car convoy, killing at least three women and six young children, including two infants. Reports indicate that some of the family members may have been burnt alive after the cars exploded amidst a hail of automatic gunfire.

According to USA Today, the victims were members of La Mora, a well-established Mormon settlement in Sonora and an offshoot of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
