Lauren Daigle Asks for Prayer after Winning Big at the KLOVE Fan Awards Ceremony

(Nashville, TN) — [Faithwire.com] On Sunday, Christian artists from all over the country gathered in Nashville for the KLOVE Fan Awards, but there was one attendee who was there to see one artist in particular. (Screengrab image: via Instagram)

After winning top awards, Lauren Daigle, known for her widely appealing worship music, asked viewers to pray for her grandfather, who was in attendance.

"I'll try not to cry but I want to honor my grandfather," Daigle said during her acceptance speech. "He's 86-years-old and he has knees that are giving him a hard time [plus his] shoulders and a back that ... it all kind of needs to be replaced."

"So if you can be praying for someone, that's the man," she declared.

"He drove nine hours to be here," she added.
