After winning top awards, Lauren Daigle, known for her widely appealing worship music, asked viewers to pray for her grandfather, who was in attendance.
"I'll try not to cry but I want to honor my grandfather," Daigle said during her acceptance speech. "He's 86-years-old and he has knees that are giving him a hard time [plus his] shoulders and a back that ... it all kind of needs to be replaced."
"So if you can be praying for someone, that's the man," she declared.
"He drove nine hours to be here," she added.
Daigle won two of the most impressive awards at the KLOVE Fan Awards taking home, "Artist of the Year" and "Female Artist of the Year"... Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here
