"?He wanted to know what makes your hands go up, and makes you 'come out of yourself,' and what gives a 'spirituality' to the music?"
While some rumors over the weekend implying that Michael Jackson had become a Christian in his last days may have been overstated, the self-proclaimed "King of Pop" did seek out some spiritual counsel and prayer recently, from a couple of trusted Christian friends.
Gospel superstar Andrae Crouch and his sister Sandra?a minister?confirmed to the Bully! Pulpit News, in an exclusive story, that they had visited Jackson twice in the last couple months, for some advice and for prayer. (Photo: Bully! Pulpit News)
A spokesman for Andrae and Sandra said Jackson had been "asking for prayer concerning the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and how he could make his music more 'spiritual.'"
According to the report, the spokesman added that, "?Andrae and Sandra explained to him about the anointing and about Jesus. He wanted to know what makes your hands go up, and makes you 'come out of yourself,' and what gives a 'spirituality' to the music? ?He usually doesn't touch anybody, but he touched them, and held their hands in a circle as they sang and prayed."
Andrae Crouch's spokesman further clarified the report of Jackson accepting the Lord saying, "There was NO actual 'sinners prayer,' but they did talk and pray about Jesus and the anointing of the Holy Spirit."
