"He was an incredible human being and extremely generous?"
Hollywood and the world said "goodbye" to three celebrities this week, as first Ed McMahon, longtime sidekick for Johnny Carson on the Tonight Show, then actress Farrah Fawcett and finally pop superstar Michael Jackson, passed away. (Photo by Craig Jewel)
It's reported that McMahon and his wife, Pamela, had attended the Crenshaw Christian Center in L.A. for quite some time and were well-loved there.
President of Crenshaw, Mrs. Angela Evans, said of his passing, "He was an incredible human being and extremely generous. He served our church faithfully along with his wife Pamela McMahon. He loved giving, especially to children and those who were disenfranchised. ...We will miss him greatly."
Ed McMahon died early Tuesday, June 23rd, he was 86.
On the morning of Thursday, June 25th, Farrah Fawcett (62) lost her two and a half year battle with cancer soon after receiving her last rites.
Later Thursday afternoon, 50-year-old Michael Jackson, the self-proclaimed "King of Pop," died unexpectedly.
Death has a way of causing even the busiest people to pause and think. As we remember the lives of these prominent public figures, and pray for comfort for their families, may it be a reminder of how precious and brief is our time here. And, how we can use our time to make a difference in the lives of others, and for God's Kingdom.
