"He was safely returned. And thank Jesus, without a scratch."
(Halifax County, VA)—According to a new report, a toddler who had wandered away from his home, into nearby woods, was kept warm through the night by his own two puppies that huddled around him.
Jaylynn Thorpe (3) was found on Saturday afternoon, after being missing for a night. His mother Sarah Ingrim told FOX News that officials could see where he was sleeping and that his two 12-week-old puppies had "sandwiched" him in, keeping him warm.
About 300 searchers were organized from the nearby Baptist church, after the boy wandered away from his babysitter on Friday afternoon.
Grace Baptist Church Pastor, Dave Kline remarked, "God really protected the boy. We are happy that we were able to help."
Ingrim explained that her son told her he left to "go hunting and fishing" and that the dogs went with him. "He was safely returned," she added. "And thank Jesus, without a scratch."
