"We all grin and look at him and are so thankful and are reminded every day of what a miracle it truly is."
(Boyle County, Kentucky)—Earlier this fall, toddler Nicholas Holderman was running with some car keys in his hands and fell.
"When I looked at it close I saw the key in his eye," said his brother, Isaac Holderman. The key reportedly had gone through Nicholas' eyelid and eye and into his brain. (Photo: Splash News,Daily Mail)
"It was pretty horrifying. Not something I ever want to see again," said Boyle County firefighter Chris Coffman who responded to the emergency call.
According to a report on WKYT News, for six days Nicholas was at UK Hospital with his parents and two brothers, Isaac and Caleb, by his side and now, more than two months later, he has fully recovered. His vision is said to be perfect; a miracle his family and friends say. (Photo: Splash News,Daily Mail)
"Everyone will say, 'which eye is it?' We all grin and look at him and are so thankful and are reminded every day of what a miracle it truly is," said Nicholas' mother Staci.
