"It came at just the right time. It gave me some encouragement and faith in mankind."
(Irving, Texas)—The Dallas Morning News reports that Dallas Cowboy quarterback Tony Romo, noticing a homeless man outside a movie theatre in Dallas, paid his way into a movie and then, when the man came into the theatre the quarterback waved him over to sit next to him.
When the homeless man hesitated because he hadn't taken a shower in a few days, Romo reportedly said: "Don't worry about that. I'm used to locker rooms." (Photo: NFL)
"For me, it was a blessing," noted the homeless man, who ended up sitting with Romo throughout the film. "It came at just the right time. It gave me some encouragement and faith in mankind. I just wanted to say thank you."
