Man Saved by Cell Phone when a Bullet Hits Him in the Chest
Richard says he's sure that God told him to put the phone in his overalls chest pocket rather than a pants pocket as usual.
(Covington, LA)—A 68-year-old man named Richard was bruised, but very thankful to be alive after being hit in the chest, recently, by a stray .45 caliber bullet, while mowing the lawn.
What saved him?
His cell phone; which he says God told him to put in his chest pocket that day instead of his pants. The phone reportedly fell apart when he took it out of his pocket. (Photo: NBC News)
According to the article by the AP, doctors noted two things that prevented further injury or death: the fact that the bullet came in on an angle instead of head-on; and the cell phone.
Richard says the close call has increased his faith.
