…without a relationship with God, his life was still empty, and one night—after dropping off his wife and son at church—Conner drove on, then parked the car, and pulled his shotgun out from under the seat.
Those who have attended prophetic conferences will probably be familiar with the name of Bobby Conner—internationally acclaimed speaker and founder of Eagle's View Ministries. However, many may not have ever heard Bobby's amazing testimony of how he came to the Lord, and how his life was in danger, even before he was born.
Writing for CBN's 700 Club, Christy Biswell describes Conner's chaotic youth which began in the womb, when his mother was warned by doctors that her baby might be carrying the same venereal disease that was claiming the life of her husband. Conner's mother decided to end her pregnancy with her own hands using a coat hanger, but God protected Bobby's developing fetal-body and he miraculously survived.
Growing up in a poverty-stricken east Texas home, Conner says he turned to alcohol and drugs early on, as a means of escaping his poor conditions. After his lifestyle landed him in jail, he attempted to clean up his life, and married in 1968.
But without a relationship with God, his life was still empty, and one night—after dropping off his wife and son at church—Conner drove on, then parked the car, and pulled his shotgun out from under the seat. With the barrel in his mouth, and his finger on the trigger, he began to shake and cry. Realizing he just could not end his own life, he put down the gun and drove back to the church. On the way he prayed, "Jesus if You could, would You change my life?" Arriving at the church, he found his wife and son praying with the pastor for Bobby's salvation.
Reporter, Biswell, shares some of the extraordinary events and miracles that Conner has seen the Lord do since then. To read the full article, follow the link provided.
