According to a recent report in the Bangkok Post, authorities in England have successfully broken up and shut down a human trafficking network that included 16 brothels in various locations throughout London.
The slaves were made up of more than 30 women from Thailand, who were trafficked to London under the guise of owing 28,000 British pounds (nearly 1.5 million baht).
Two brothers were arrested and nine Thai gang members were sent to prison, said the report, and many of the Thai women who were held as slaves, were already sent home.
