(Chicago, Ill)—Many were stunned by the horrific violence suffered by the family of Oscar-winning actress and singer, Jennifer Hudson, last month, when her mother, brother and nephew were found murdered.

According to the Christian Post report, The Hudson-King Foundation for Families of Slain Victims—named in honor of Darnell Hudson Donerson, 57, Jason Hudson, 29, and Julian King, 7—will provide needed counseling and other practical services.
The Hudson family said in a recent statement, "The specific purpose of the foundation is to care for the needs of families who have lost relatives to a violent crime. This encompasses their basic needs of food, clothing and shelter as well as grief counseling."
Since the tragedy, Hudson and some of her relatives have been staying at the Trump International Hotel and Tower, free of charge by invitation of Donald Trump. The billionaire remarked about Hudson to People magazine saying, "She's a great girl, and we're protecting them well. They are very safe."
