Good News! Congress, President Bush Extend Abstinence Education Funding
The extension for the vitally important program will continue through September of 2009.
(Washington, DC)—In the midst of tumultuous times in America for family values-oriented citizens, there was some good news this week. After Congress approved an extension of Abstinence Education, President Bush has signed it into law.

Leslee Unruh, Founder and President of the National Abstinence Clearinghouse, commented on the bill making it through legislation.
"Right now, of course, all the abstinence folks are looking to one particular candidate to win—because we know the other candidate's not going to be supporting the abstinence-until-marriage money to be given to abstinence programs [and], in fact, feels it's a big waste of time," Unruh said.
