"I was inspired, and felt compelled that I could help them."

She wanted to do something to help underprivileged children, and Shoes for Orphan Souls not only benefits kids in the US, but also in 55 other countries throughout the world.
Elizabeth is "paying forward" what she experienced after her family lost everything, two years ago, in a house fire. She had been home at the time, and had run out of the burning house, not taking the time to put shoes on. It was July, and the hot pavement burned her feet as she watched the fire.
Neighbors extended kindness to the family, donating clothing and shoes. Now, Elizabeth is doing the same for others. The teen reportedly opted out of receiving gifts for her birthday, asking for donations for the organization instead.
