"I can't be afraid of suffering. I will continue on with greater commitment."
(Los Angeles)—Pastor Greg Laurie told the congregation at Harvest Christian Fellowship last weekend that the death of his son Christopher has not "shaken his faith," although he said the day of the accident "was the most devastating day" of his life. (Photo: LA Times)
"I'm doing OK. The Lord is with me. I can't be afraid of suffering. I will continue on with greater commitment. . . I have a task to do and I am going to do it. I still believe," he added. "This faith we hold in Jesus Christ is real."
According to an L.A. Times report, Laurie had to drive past the spot his son was killed to get to church on Sunday.
"Driving up here, honestly, was very hard," he said.
