Had she not sought out medical confirmation and protested the payments, government would have continued sending her disability checks for the rest of her life.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, her healing took place at a Christian conference during which time she was able to "fold away her wheelchair and stop taking painkillers." Medics were reportedly "amazed" by her recovery.
After her healing, however, a strange dilemma arose. When June was first disabled she was awarded a lifetime of benefits, but after her healing she contacted government officials to tell them she no longer needed them. To their surprise, government officials told June that their computer did not "have a button for miracles," and was not programmed to terminate her payments as long as she was still alive.
She waited six months and then saw a government doctor who pronounced her "fully fit" even though he was "baffled" by her healing. Subsequently, notes the report, "the allowance was stopped and Mrs. Clarke was able to repay the money."
"We would have loved to have used the money for a good cause," said Mr. Clarke, "But it wasn't ours to spend.
