The first time I tried this dip was at my brother's house on Christmas Eve many years ago. This dip was an immediate hit with my family—it is quick to make, but big on flavor. Every time I take this dip somewhere, I get asked for the recipe.
1 16 oz. Jar of salsa—(you decide how spicy)
1 pint of sour cream
1 4 oz. Can of diced Ortega peppers
1 small block of Velveeta cheese
1 16 oz. Can of refried beans (I like to use the spicy kind)
Heat all ingredients over low heat until thoroughly combined and bubbly, either in a crock pot or on the stove. Best when served warm. Serve with chips, crackers or meat. Yummy!
Cathy’s Favorite Scripture:
Isaiah 40:31 - But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. (NKJV)
This is my favorite Scripture. The Lord made something very real to me one day many years ago when I was chatting with Him. I asked Him, "Lord, why am I always so tired?" I really wanted an answer, and I was tired of being tired. He said, "Because you do not wait for Me." He was right. I was not "waiting" for Him. Since that time I have been learning to "wait" on Him and renewing my strength. Happy Thanksgiving! -Cathy Shepard-Wilhelm, BCN Subscriptions and Proofreading
