"It's all about what you give in this world and I was brought to tears when the American Bible Society was handing out the Psalms to thousands of people."
(NEW YORK)—The American Bible Society, working cooperatively with the New Orleans Hornets of the National Basketball Association, participated in the first Faith & Family Night at the team's home game with the San Antonio Spurs, Friday, November 9.
The game concluded with a post-game Christian concert featuring national recording artists Point of Grace. The Bible Society created a special Book of Psalms given to every fan who wanted to have it. Word Entertainment, a division of Warner Brothers, provided Point of Grace for the concert.
Peter Goldsberry, Senior Vice President of the Hornets, said, "I'm a man of God and he put me in this position with the Hornets. I did not make the Faith & Family night possible. The Lord did. I opened my heart to Him and He is so good to me. So if I can give back something as a result, I want to do it. To be in the position I am, is exciting."
Goldsberry continued, "That night was made possible by the Bible Society and so many other people who are Christians. And Word was terrific in providing Point of Grace. It's all about what you give in this world and I was brought to tears when the American Bible Society was handing out the Psalms to thousands of people. Anything I can do for the Bible society, in my position, I will do."
