"The soldiers have taken Soham on multiple trips to a new U.S.-Iraqi funded clinic to receive prosthesis. They even pitched in and bought her sneakers she seems quite proud of."
(Baghdad, Iraq)—After having both legs amputated, when an insurgent rocket hit her home, Soham, an Iraqi woman, had to literally drag herself across her cement floor to get anywhere inside of her home. Outside, she was confined to a wheelchair.
But when American soldiers found her, when conducting a raid for insurgents in her village, they brought the help that changed her life.
According to the FOX News report, soldiers from Troop A, 3rd Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, brought Soham to a U.S.-Iraqi-funded clinic, so she could receive a prosthesis. Later, they even bought her new sneakers in which to run.
