"We just wanted the same rights as other clubs. It's not a radical thing to expect equal treatment."
(Fredericksburg, Virginia)—Stephanie Hoffmeier is a teen with a mission. According to a report in the Washington Post, she recently succeeded in "starting what might be the region's only anti-abortion club in a public high school." It is called the Pro-Life Club and not only opposes abortion, but encourages sexual abstinence for teens as well. (Photo by Theresa Vargas—The Washington Post)
Her goal, she said was, "To educate people about the biggest holocaust that is going on right here in the United States. To come together and pray to end abortion. To be a voice for my generation and a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves."
"I just prayed and asked for God's will to be done," added Hoffmeier, who had to fight for her rights in court. "We just wanted the same rights as other clubs. It's not a radical thing to expect equal treatment."
