Iraqi Prime Minister Pledges to Support and Protect Christians in Iraq

Pray that the prime minister backs up his pledge.

(Baghdad, Iraq)—The AP reports that Iraq's Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki, has pledged to protect and support the Christian minority in Iraq and to stop their "outflow" out of the country.

According to a report, issued by the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, nearly 50 percent of Iraqi Christians have already fled Iraq.

Please pray that the prime minister backs up his pledge to protect Iraqi Christians. As always, please pray also for our nation, our soldiers in Iraq, and a lasting resolution to this conflict.
