Shortly after moving to L.A. from his native Mexico, Eduardo came to know the Lord, through his English tutor, and found his calling as a missionary to Hollywood.
"[God] became my boss, my manager, my Father, the center of my life, my Redeemer, my Creator, my everything," Eduardo explained. "I promised Him that I would never compromise my faith anymore. I would never use my talents for anything that would offend Him. I knew I wasn?t born to be a movie star or to be famous or to be a producer. I was born to know and to love and to serve Jesus Christ."
In this Citizen Link interview, Eduardo shares of how difficult things became, trying to maintain his values, as he worked in Hollywood. When the story of Bella came along, it was just the film he was looking for. "The intent for this film is to promote life and family values. My goal was to make a film that I could invite my mother and my grandmother to, and not have to cover their eyes during any scene."
Eduardo tells of visiting an abortion clinic, during preparation for the film, and in talking with some of the people there, an unborn baby, who was going to be aborted, was later given life instead, and named after the actor/producer.
Bella opened in theaters across the U.S. this past weekend, it is important for viewers to go see the movie in the first two weeks, for it to continue.
