(Dallas, Texas)?A benefit concert, last month, for "Shoes for Orphaned Soles" brought in about 4,000 pairs of new shoes to be distributed to orphans and at-risk kids in America, and other countries.
The concert and shoe drive was sponsored by Texas radio station, KVTT. President of the station, Fletcher Anderson, explained, "We wanted to do something in the community that would benefit people around the world?not just in Dallas, and we know that giving shoes is something people can relate to."
According to the MNN report, Buckner International's Shoes for Orphaned Soles has already distributed over 1.5 million pairs of shoes to children who need them all around the world.
