"We apply Web technology to the Gospel in a way that appeals to young people. We call it Jesus 2.0." –Chris Wyatt, GodTube Founder
(Internet)—When you log onto GodTube.com—the Christian answer to Google's YouTube—you might be surprised to know it began it's beta version just over 5 months ago, and was officially launched only 2 months ago. (GodTube logo)
Indeed, the idea seemed to pique a huge amount of curiosity, as GodTube quickly became "the single fastest-growing site on the Web just after launching..." according to comScore Media Metrix, and Forbes.com.
GodTube is unique in that the site offers user's uploaded videos that are Christian-friendly, and filtered of any undesirable content. Founder, Chris Wyatt, cites the phenomenon of more than three million new visitors each month.
One of the most popular videos by far, is that of a little girl, in her "princess" t-shirt, reciting Psalm 23 (with a few prompts from those behind the camera). The adorable young orator's charisma could even have a "pre-visited Scrooge" smiling by the end of her recitation! Apparently, many think so—that particular video has been viewed more than 3.7 million times, says Forbes.com.
