Apollo 11 Astronaut's Handwritten Bible Verse, Meant to be Read During Lunar "Holy Communion Service," Sold in Auction

Buzz Aldrin was going to read the verse, broadcast from the moon during a lunar "Holy Communion service," but was prevented from doing so because of legal challenges from Madalyn Murray O'Hair.

Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon, did read some of the notes he had written on the card from the lunar surface, but he was prevented from reading the Bible verse because of legal challenges from atheist Madalyn Murray O'Hair at the time.
The card reportedly sold for $179,250.
