CNN Spotlights Alliance between Christians and Jews

(Melbourne, Florida)—As part of a special series from CNN entitled, God's Warriors, the news network recently took a look at the alliance that has developed between Christians, Jews and Israel.
CNN Chief Correspondent, Christiane Amanpour, reports on Sondra Oster Baras; an Orthodox Jew who visits Evangelical Christian churches raising both awareness and money in support of Jewish settlements in occupied territories.
The media crew caught up with her in Melbourne, Florida, where she was speaking at the First Assembly of God church, pastored by Gary Christofaro.
In addition to the Christian worship service, the church also observes the Jewish Sabbath on Friday nights, with traditional Hebrew prayers and the lighting of candles.
The CNN report states that "a recent poll found 59 percent of American Evangelicals believe Israel is the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy, and the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs estimates 85 million Evangelicals believe God tells them to support Israel--more than six times the world's Jewish population."
