One Korean Hostage Gave Up Her Chance for Freedom to Allow another Captive to Go Free
In a Christ like gesture of selflessness, hostage gave up her chance of freedom for a captive who was ill.
(Afghanistan)—A report in the Christian Post states that one of the Korean hostages gave up her chance for freedom to allow another captive, who was more ill, to be released in her place.
According to the report, the spokesman for Taliban commander Abdullah Jan, who only identified himself as Masoom, said he was unable to recall the name of the woman who sacrificed her freedom. (Photo: South Korean Kim Ji-na who is one of two women released from Taliban, Monday–CP)
"Their names are very difficult to remember," said Masoom to The Korea Times. "All names are alike with the difference of a few characters," he said. "This is why we can't remember them."
