"All around you tonight is hard evidence of changed lives. Put your faith in Him."
(Anaheim, California)—Angels in the outfield? Perhaps there were, along with pastor and evangelist, Greg Laurie, who dominated the infield. Looking up into the stands, one might have thought the Yankees were in town, as over 102,000 people filled the seats, and 33,000 more watched the live webcast on the internet.
But the bleachers and box seats weren't packed with sports fans as much as Jesus fans, and those who were curious, hurting, or just wanting more of God, on a warm, Southern California weekend.
"What are you doing with your life?" Asked Laurie, addressing the crowd from the huge stage set up between 1st and 3rd bases. "What are you living for? What's going to happen to you when you die?"
The annual Harvest Crusade in Southern California has become a tradition for many who appreciate the no-fluff, relevant preaching of Greg Laurie, and the bands that accompany the crusade.
About 9,500 people publicly made decisions for Jesus through this year's Harvest Crusade, as Laurie's voice echoed around the stadium, "All around you tonight is hard evidence of changed lives. Put your faith in Him."
