Teen Falls 6 Stories, Walks Away with Just Scrapes

(Myrtle Beach, South Carolina)—The Associated Press reports today that 17-year-old Matthew Savage, fell from his hotel balcony on Friday—six stories—and yet walked away with only minor scrapes. (file photo)
Matt was apparently reaching up to the balcony above to grab some clothing that had fallen, when he lost his balance and fell over the railing. The falling teen reportedly knocked into other balconies during the fall, smacked onto a slanted rooftop and ended up in some bushes.
When he got up and began to walk back into the hotel, paramedics arrived and insisted he go to the hospital for tests. All the tests were normal, and he only had a few scrapes and bruises to show for his mishap, which could have been fatal.
His sister, Mandy Baker told reporters, "This was a real God event."
