Many of the salvations were teenagers. They came in groups of three or more. It was a joyous sight to see groups of teens all holding hands around a table receiving Jesus into their hearts together.
(Edmonton, Canada)—At the Capital Exhibition in Edmonton, this past July, the ministry of Every Home for Jesus (EHJ) reports an extraordinary harvest of those coming to the Lord through some of their outreaches. Lorne and Rita Silverstein, Coordinators for EHJ, share some of the highlights from the weekend....
The "Angels' Booth" team demonstrated again this year that we are "not to be ashamed of the gospel for it is the power of God unto salvation". At the Capital Ex exhibition in Edmonton in July 2007, a multitude of people heard the "good news" and accepted Jesus Christ as their savior and Lord. A team of prophetic evangelists and intercessors set up "the church in the marketplace" to seek and to save the Lord's lost sheep and 1400 people from different nationalities left the exhibition with eternal life.
The Lord says, "Go and preach the good news to all creation and teach them all things that I have commanded you" and so we went, willing in the day of his power to save. The results were the fruit of the labor of a team of 33 people, trained and led by outreach leader Rita Silverstein. And because each team member had received the approval and blessing of their pastor, there was the collective authority of 20 churches joining together in the power of the united body of Christ.
The "Angels' Booth" began 13 years ago and is a ministry of Every Home For Jesus, a non-denominational group of people from Edmonton and area. Coordinated by Lorne and Rita Silverstein, the organization is in relationship with about a dozen churches and pastors from the Edmonton region. In this outreach, a ministry to the marketplace, a booth is set up at trade shows and fairs in Edmonton and Calgary with the theme "Free Dream Interpretation." Prophetic words, with the love of the Father revealed in Christ the Son, are shared to bridge people into the gospel. Dreams are also interpreted and many people are set free from fear and worry.
Prayer was the major element before and during this outreach, and evangelists brought people with them to intercede at the booth. The half of the booth that was set up as a prayer tent during the 10-day outreach was filled with people crying out for our inheritance of the nations. They pushed back the darkness and came into agreement with God's destiny for the people he created.
The Holy Spirit always gives us a witness to the work he has done year to year in the hearts of those who have previously visited the booth. We trust that God will not let any be snatched from his hand and that he will bring the entire families to salvation if the first" lamb" in the family is saved at the booth. A man came who was so excited to find us there. He told us his wife had received a [word] last year and it was life changing for her. This year she had sent him off to find us there. He received the Lord and went away joyous.
Many of the salvations were teenagers. They came in groups of three or more. It was a joyous sight to see groups of teens all holding hands around a table receiving Jesus into their hearts together.
Because of the faithfulness of the saints who served the Lord at the Angels' Booth, God sent many to find us there and multitudes were saved. We give thanks to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and to everyone who participated in the outreach as heaven and earth joined together in unity to bring in this precious harvest of souls.
