Jason Jones, co-executive producer, will also host an upcoming online apologetics conference to encourage artists to defend the Gospel through the arts.

(Washington, D.C.)—Since late October, a special life-saving project using the award-winning movie Bella in the Bella HERO project has reportedly resulted in 200 babies being saved from abortion.

Bella HeroAs reported in Baptist Press, the Bella HERO effort "provides free DVD copies of the movie to pro-life pregnancy care centers to give to women considering abortion. More than 10,000 DVDs of Bella have been distributed to nearly 400 pregnancy care centers so far."

"Seeing the reaction that our film got everywhere it was screened, I realized that if we could put this film into the right people's hands it could literally change and save lives," said co-executive producer Jason Jones, who founded the Bella HERO initiative as part of his nonprofit Human Rights Education and Relief Organization (HERO).

In a separate announcement by Athanatos Christian Ministry, it was announced that Jones will present at the Athanatos Christian Ministry's 2011 online apologetics conference which will take place April 8-9, 2011. The conference calls on Christians to mount a defense of Christianity through the arts. The 2011 conference is emphasizing the defense of marriage, family, and life through film and movies. Bella is known for its powerful pro-life message but its positive portrayal of family life makes the movie—and one of its producers—a perfect fit for the upcoming conference.

ACM's conference is held entirely online allowing people from around the world to attend. The conference aims to bring together theologians, 'culture warriors,' artists, writers, and film makers with the goal of inspiring the Church to more intentionally and proactively communicate and defend the Gospel through the arts.
