Christian Groups bring Aid to Pakistani Flood Victims

"The needs are massive right now, and World Vision has the experts and plans to help thousands. But without funding from international donors, our response will be severely limited."

According to news reports, recent floods in northwest Pakistan?being called the worst in years?have killed more than 1,000 people and have affected over a million.

On the scene and assisting in relief efforts are Christian aid groups who are reportedly distributing provisions of food and shelter materials.

World Vision's program manager mentioned the desperate conditions those affected by the floods are facing right now. "Drinking water is the most urgent need now," he said, "even more than food. Children have been wearing the same muddy clothes for three days now, and many of them have visible skin diseases."
